 WHY LAB IS KEY

In today’s fast-paced landscape, where technology advances outstrip Human Intelligence (HI) development, refining communication and connection skills is crucial for businesses in 2024. Most prefer a functional, low-stress workplace, where they can efficiently complete tasks and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

However, poor versions of default communication causes unnecessary conflicts, gossip, low morale, errors, trust loss, and poor problem-solving. This also damages revenue from damaged buyer relationships. Barriers to communication go up all over the organisation, limiting solutions and ideas from flourishing. For some teams, like design and product teams, this is a killer.

The LAB leadership model – Listening, Accepting, and Building on others’ ideas – does the opposite. It transforms workplaces by building an environment of trust, support, postponed judgement and respect. Management indicates that it is safe to move from self-centeredness towards towards ‘service from the heart’ and high-performing environments.

Ninety percent of participants reported gaining listening skills or the ability to express thoughts without judgment or both. Participants also felt more confident in expressing themselves without fear of being wrong or judged. Out of the 33 women in the study, 24 (72%) of them expressed feeling more confident in expressing themselves without fear of being judged.
